In October of 2023, we had the privilege of helping a beautiful Belgian mare owned by Kataluna Horse Rescue beat cancer!

She arrived with a very painful and swollen tumor where her right eye should have been. Due to the location it was presumed to be a cancer called squamous cell carcinoma. She was very clear that it was bothering her and that she didn't want anyone near her face! We gathered our resources, including a queen sized mattress for anesthesia, and went to work! She has the tumor/eye surgically removed and her whole personality changed! She is now in her new home with a new BFF and loving life. Happiness is helping a majestic horse like Butters find her pain-free, happy life!
